Wedding Photography at Dunston Hall

I have been working with Dunston Hall Hotel for over 18 years and have been one of their recommended suppliers for nearly all of that time.

Being one of the largest hotels in Norfolk and near to Norwich its perfect for wedding of all sizes but especially big weddings with guest numbers up to 250 people.

I have had the pleasure of photographing so many weddings at Dunston Hall. From very intimate weddings of 15 guests in the Eaton suite right up to lavish weddings with 250 guests in the Sunningdale suite. I have also photographed weddings in the garden terrace at the back of the property over looking the golf course. There really is choice for you to make your wedding day your own.

A huge advantage to Dunston Hall is the staff on hand to help plan and coordinate your special day. This will take the stress out of everything and make sure your day runs smoothly. Packages are also available with their onsite Toastermaster Bob (highly recommend)

With 2 wedding fayres each year, it gives you the perfect opportunity to view and explore the wedding suites setup in situ. It’s also a great way to meet the other wedding professionals and onsite suppliers like Elizabeths the Florist and Silverline Limousine’s.

My Top 5 Things about Dunston Hall Hotel:

1. As mentioned I am a recommend supply, so often photograph here 4 to 5 times year. I have got to know the team very well which has great advantages, including getting the best Golf Buggy when I need it for the couple.
2. There is a perfect location for every possible photo requirement including interior spaces as backup if the weather is not great.
3. The Penthouse suite with its own kitchen and dinning area is ideal for getting ready in. This super spacious apartment style room allows for the entire bridal party to get ready together in comfort. For smaller groups the Bridal suite has the charm and character but still space for your makeup and hair stylist.
4. There is 7 different areas to have your wedding ceremony and wedding breakfast in. The choice is fantastic but get in early not to be disappointed. Also speak to the team as there is always the chance that another wedding could be going on at the same time. When I last checked you could book exclusivity for your day.
5. If you like the look of light and airy photography then the Marquee in spring and summer is perfect for your wedding breakfast and evening party. For winter weddings then the warm and cosy Eaton suite creates a dramatic vibe with twinkly lights and candles.

I have worked with so many great suppliers at Dunston and can honestly say many of them have become good friends. I always recommend their in-house DJ - DJ Prestige even if its a wedding at another wedding venue.
A great DJ or band will add to the energy and excitement. They should know how to read the room and in the words of P!nk ‘Get the Party Started’

The dance floor in the marquee and Sunningdale are great spaces for an explosive party, and to capture the craziness and fun. I always like to stay to capture these shots, hence I normally stay until 9.30 / 10pm or later.

My top 5 location shots at Dunston Hall:

1. The balcony from the Sunningdale Suite, above the lawn is ideal for those arial shots of your large groups.
2. The tree line, about 200m down the drive from the main entrance. Positioned here gives the right perspective of the Hall proportional to the couple.
3. There is a magical field slightly hidden, that has long grasses, dark tree lines and open fields. The great thing about this area is there is no golf on it.
4. Sunset on the bridge - Just a short golf buggy ride away
5. The fountain all lite up at the end of the night for one last kiss photo opportunity
