The Dairy Barns Hickling, Norfolk Wedding Venue
If you are looking for an intimate venue, with the beach around the corner and beautiful Norfolk countryside all around then the Dairy Barns is the wedding venue for you.
As a Norfolk wedding photographer I love the fact that this venue has real farming history and a boutique feel to the whole venue, great for anybody looking for something a little more vintage and personal.
The venue can seat up to around 60 guests and up to 100 for the evening party.
My top 5 things about The Dairy Barns, Hickiling

- Great cover in the barns canopy area -so even if the weather is bad you can stay dry – even on a bouncy castle.

The Dairy Barns has a warm friendly vibe – cosy and a delight to work at.
The old red brick buildings and sheds make for some amazing textures to the backdrops of your wedding photos.
The onsite suites are perfect for the bridal preparations – light and airy and finished to a very good standard. The bridal bedroom is perfect for shots of the bride quietly reflecting before all the excitement of the day ahead.
The Barn itself has some great features that make it unique as a Barn venue. The first is the balcony, which allows for some great photos from above including group shots. Secondly if you love animals then the barn is connected to a working farm with onsite horses, as well as the odd farmhouse cat that appears.
The patio area is a suntrap and a great area for entertaining your guests plus perfect for the confetti shot. The patio allows for some very natural candid shots as your guests joke and laugh allowing me to capture this in an unobtrusive way.
The fields opposite to the Barn are perfect for some group shots – I have been known to jump on top of my van to get the best group shots possible. The lush fields behind and large Norfolk sky-scapes help create a truly country wedding.
Once the wedding breakfast is complete the barn turns into the perfect party venue. Whether a DJ or live band the atmosphere always seems electric. I guest this comes down to the fact that the venue is smaller but more intimate so pushes your guests together, which I love because it creates human interaction.

- The beautiful Norfolk countryside and lanes that lead out onto the vast views across the land.

- The beach at Sea Palling or Waxham for some truly romantic shots
- The sunset shots that you cannot get in city venues
